Have We Lost the Plot? Or Is It Time to Begin Again?
How is it that the most iconic singers and legendary bands are long gone?
That the greatest artists —the painters who once poured soul into canvas —now feel like ancient history?
There was a time when art and craft weren’t just hobbies—they were at the heart of human lives. When being resourceful, connected to the earth, in rhythm with nature, brought balance.
Now?
We are bombarded by information. So technically, we should know more than ever before.
We’re flooded with images, and flawless lives. So technically, we should be overflowing with inspirations.
We’re surrounded by shops, endless products, and a culture of consumerism that tells us “more” will finally make us feel enough.
But still—so many walk through life depleted. Unwell. Anxious. Disconnected. Depressed. Starving for meaning. Without a sense of self-love or self-worth. Feeling like never enough.
Living with more void, than a sense of wholeness.
Constantly hungry for more—but never satisfied.
Uninspired to create, resorting to bars and mainstream entertainment.
For what?
Maybe it’s time to get back to basics.
Maybe now is the time to find balance in it all. To honour and appreciate how far we’ve come, yes—but also to remember what we’ve lost.
But not through protests.
Not through another hashtag.
But through simple, conscious daily acts.
Like respecting the earth—not just speaking of saving it, but living in a way that respects it. Being mindful of what we take, and only take what we need. Not trashing it for convenience.
Maybe it’s time to rebuild our connection to nature not with slogans, but with stillness.
With our hands in the soil.
With bare feet on the ground.
Maybe it’s time to awaken the creativity that’s been buried under schedules, race and comparison. To create not for likes or validation—but because it’s our birthright to create.
To express.
To make something from soul, not a roadmap.
Return to wholeness
Because that’s what we’re really longing for, isn’t it?
Wholeness.
Not more stuff.
Not more perfection.
But meaning.Depth. Connection.
It’s not gone forever.
It’s still within us.
We just have to remember.
